Dr. James Benson

Dr. Benson was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia and graduated with honors. Being awarded a full-ride scholarship through the United States Navy, he attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS).
Following graduation, Dr. Benson was stationed at multiple different commands over six years. In 2016, he deployed overseas for seven months on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). After separating from the Navy, he completed a Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Benson is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, and the College of Diplomates of The American Board of Endodontists. He resides in Springfield with his wife and their four children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family, working out, SCUBA diving, model building, and hunting.
